Wow. What a season. I had so much fun recording the interviews and shows in season 3 which was all about the Power of a Business of YOU. We heard from Happy Actors Tristen MacDonald (that show was so much fun), SquadCast’s Zach Moreno, Ford Saeks on outsourcing, upselling, branding and packaging, LinkedIn and social selling expert Phil Gerbyshak, seasoned speaker, storyteller and consultant Barry Banther, StoryBrand’s very own JJ Peterson, my favorite solopreneur JB Glossinger, Facebook and Instagram ads expert Jennifer Spivak and entrepreneur marketing coach Kelly Roach.

Wow. What a group of expert guests that joined me this season. If you missed any of these, please go back and listen to them, even more than once as each offers so much value. I also talked about leaning into owning a business of YOU and my journey, which was probably my most vulnerable show yet. And the last show was all about not giving a flip what others think about what you’re doing and trusting your path.

Well, season four is going to be just as awesome, with a theme all about niche, niche, niche for strength.

In marketing, we talk about niching your business. I agree, it is important to know your audience and know specifically what it is that you do and who you do it for. Identifying these components builds the foundation of your marketing strategy. It’s also why I created the KISS Marketing Map, which is the very first thing I do with new clients. Often they come to me and are unclear about these details or they are being way too general regarding what services they provide and who they can provide them to. Those are marketing strategy killers because when you serve everyone, you serve no one.

We don’t want to take the handyman approach to our business, where we are “jack of all trades, master of none.” We want to be masters as something that is very precisely needed by a specific sector of the population. There are a lot of people on the planet and we don’t want to try to serve everyone. But people still come to me with statements like, “I want to speak on leadership,” or they’ll say, “I consult on sales.” Seriously? Well, those are places to start, but there are better ways to find the specific niche that you can serve and how you serve them.

I’ll give you a hint: it has a lot to do with being YOU and using your strengths. This is what this past season has been all about. Understanding what makes you, YOU, and leveraging those skills to place yourself in a specific domain in the marketplace and own it. People will come to you for just that thing, and believe me, unless you’re doing something super weird, there’s an audience that needs what you have—and love—to offer.

The Simplify & Multiply show is all about helping you become a stronger, more confident and efficient solopreneur. To stand in what makes you awesome so you can powerfully serve and make bank. By listening to this show you’re hearing from other solopreneurs who have figured some things out and can provide you the insights and courage to try new things in your business to make it easier, more fun and more lucrative.

As always, thank you for listening and being here with me and my guests, and let’s get going on season four of the Simplify & Multiply show and learn how to niche, niche, niche for strength.
